Delores A. “Dee” Creviston, 80, of Springfield, spirit went to live with Jesus on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Sunny Acres in Petersburg. She was born on August 2, 1943, in Springfield, the 6th child of Page Creviston and Anna (Smith) Creviston Rhodes.
Dee was preceded in death by her parent;, stepfather, Jesse Rhodes; eight brothers, John, James, Donald, Russell, Herschel, Melvin, and David Creviston and Jeff Rhodes; one sister, Joyce Breeding.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister Susan (James) Cousin and brother Steve (Christina) Rhodes; sisters in law, Patricia, Patsy, and Karen Creviston and Rhonda Rhodes; several nieces, nephews great great and recently great great great niece and nephews, and many friends and caregivers from Taylor House, her home for 37 years.
Dee was of the Christian Faith and had Jesus in her heart. She attended Little Red School House, Sparc, and Logan Mason Memorial Health Day Training, her school and workshop in Lincoln. She participated in Special Olympics and won several medals in the softball toss and kicking the ball. She enjoyed family time, shopping, garage sales, collecting pennies, stuffed animals, dollies and pretty things. She was proud of the fact she made her bed every day and she will be missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00PM at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St, in Rochester. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Buckhart.
Memorial donations may be made to the Rochester Christian Church, a charity of the donor’s choice, or just do something nice for someone.
