Carol Jean Conaway earned her wings on March 25, 2017. She was born on August 15, 2001 in Springfield to Jacqueline Patterson and Dwayne Conaway.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Carol Jean Patterson; grandfather, Carl C. Patterson; great grandmother, Cleo Patterson; three uncles, Marlon and Walt Conaway and Gerard Patterson; and an aunt, Sherri Conaway.

She is survived by her parents Jacqueline Patterson of Riverton and Dwayne Conaway of St. Charles, Missouri; CJ is survived by two sisters, Brelle and Haven Conaway of Riverton; grandmother, JoAnn McElroy; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

CJ was born with cerebral palsy and at around 8 years old was also diagnosed with dysautonomia. In her short 15 years of life CJ went through so much and most always with a huge smile on her face. She loved Rascal Flatts, balloons and her family. She had a smile that could light up even the darkest of rooms and quickly captured the hearts of all that she came in contact with.

The family would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers. Donations can be made at Woodforest National Bank (located inside WalMart) in the name of Jacqueline Patterson for CJ’s fund. 

A celebration of life will be held in the very near future.
