Pamala (“Penny”) Peterson, age 73, passed away on July 9, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer and is now at peace with her beloved husband Tom.
Penny was born and raised in Jamestown, North Dakota where she graduated from Jamestown High School in 1962. She and Tom were married in 1966 and lived coast to coast while he was serving in the Navy before settling in Springfield in 1987. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter and granddaughter, making jewelry and other crafts, swimming and attending red-hat functions with a great circle of friends. As an identical twin, she treasured the time she spent with her twin Patricia, and enjoyed seeing if people could guess who was who. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Penny was preceded in death by husband Tom, brothers James and Jerome Milek, sister Joy Lippert, and parents Samuel and Elizabeth Milek. Survived by daughter Tamara Peterson and granddaughter Indigo Lacy and identical twin sister Patricia Satern.
