Charles E Douglas

Charles E. Douglas, 68, of Springfield, IL passed away on Monday April 8, 2024.

Chuck was born in Springfield, IL on July 10, 1955 the son of Jack and Rosemary Douglas.

He worked for the City Street Department of Springfield as an Engineer Tech. for 30 years before retiring.

Chuck enjoyed fishing, boating, and bowling for fun while enjoying a can of Natural Light. However, family was the most important thing to Chuck. He loved being a father and a grandfather and taking his family on vacations. Chuck was a jokester and could make light of any situation.

He was preceded in death by his father and 1 sister, Jackie (Douglas) Davis.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Barbara Douglas; mother, Rosemary Douglas; daughters, Angel (Frank) Alexander and Jenny (Steve) Miller; grandchildren, Leanna, Tavaris, Tavonte, Nate, Avery, Ayden, and Lamar; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Heaven, Kyrie, Jada, and Nate Jr.; 1 sister, Linda (Dave) McLean; 1 brother, Donald “Donnie” Douglas; as well as many friends.

There will be a visitation on Monday April 15, 2024 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62072 from 11:00 am till the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donors choosing in c/o Chuck Douglas.
