Joseph Vespa, 35, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at his residence.
He was born on October 21, 1983, the son of Bruno Vespa and Rhonda (Smith) Curtis.
Joey was a concrete finisher and owned his own business, T&J Foundation Repairs. He loved fishing, mushroom hunting, spending time with his son and watching wrestling.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bruno Vespa Jr.; and grandparents, Connie Smith and Shirley and Gerald Parris.
He is survived by his son, Tyler Vespa; mother, Rhonda (James) Curtis; siblings, Nicole (Thomas) Elfgen, Aaron Curtis, Philip (Brittany) Vespa, Shawn Vespa, Jared Curtis and Jamie Curtis; grandfather, Don Smith; aunts, Tina (Bud) Ealey and Tina Constanti; uncle, P.J. Smith; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be a Celebration of life from 2-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Comfort Inn & Suites, 3675 S. 6th St. Frontage Rd., in Springfield.
