Deborah Marie Jordan, 64, of Springfield, IL passed away on Sunday January 31, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital in the company of her family.
She was born in Springfield on November 6, 1956 the daughter of Jack Lee Johnson and Barbara Ann Casey.
Deborah loved spending a lot of her time doing puzzles and table games with family and friends. She enjoyed computer games, camping, Rock N’ Roll and music concerts. She worked for the local cable company for over 20 plus years before retiring. As her battle with illness came to a close, she became particularly close with her granddaughter, Shontel who was her caregiver till the very end.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Billy Jo; son in law, Franklin; and a brother in law, Richard.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Tod E. Jordan of Springfield; daughter, April Howlett of Springfield; daughter, Jacqi Murphy (Tyree) of Springfield; son, Brian Murphy of Springfield; son Jacob Jordan (Aaron) of Jacksonville; grandchildren; Shontel, Liam, Arissa, Johnathon, and Angela; multiple great grandchildren; as well as her siblings, Catherine (Hendrick) Keefner, of Springfield, Johnny (Margie) Johnson, of Springfield, and Patricia Hibbs, of Decatur
.Visitation services will be held on Thursday February 4, 2021 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 from 2:00 p.m. till the time of the memorial services at 3:30 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Deborah’s daughter Jacqi Murphy, in order to cover the travel costs of spreading her ashes in the ocean.
