Dorothy fell asleep in death on January 15, 2018 after a long battle with vascular disease.

She was born on July 6, 1944 in Pontiac, the daughter of Pete and Rose (Johnson) Russell. She married Larry L. Price on June 23, 1962 in Bloomington and he survives.

Also surviving are their five children: Jeffrey Price Sr., James (Michelle) Price, Jennifer (Troy) Windell, Jeremy (Monica) Price, Janese (Evan) Carpenter and their ten grandchildren: Jeffrey Price Jr., Taylor (Natalie) Price, Morgan (Cody) Clawson, Renee Price, Carson ( Allison) Price, Phoebe Windell, Madison (Jesse) Sigrist, Connor Price, Paige Windell, Mackenzie Price, and two great-grandchildren: Kyden and Natalie. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Wilma, Willy, Lloyd, Roger, and survived by her sister Myrna.

Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was deeply loved by her family and friends. Besides raising her children and being a grandmother she did some factory and banquet work. She excelled at selling long-term healthcare insurance for which she won several prestigious awards.

Dorothy was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and active in her faith until January 2018. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the services at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3076 Normandy Rd., Springfield, IL 62703.
