Mayre Kaye Hyde, 96, of Rochester, passed away, Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. 

Kaye was born on May 12, 1921 in Lima, OH the daughter of Paul and Lettie Patterson Hamilton.

Kaye was a social worker for the Department of Public Aid; retiring after many years.  She was a member of Rochester United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, DAR, and Questers.  She taught rug hooking, dyed the wool and color planed the rugs.  Kaye loved spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques and most of all she loved the color purple. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one grandson; and one sister.

She is survived by son, James (Michelle) Walter, two daughters, Sandee Sennstrom and Pam (Robbie) Robert, six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester.  Private family services will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
