Dennis Erlenbush Obituary

Dennis Ray Erlenbush, 63, of Edinburg, formerly of Mt. Pulaski and Mt. Auburn, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.

Dennis was born on April 29, 1958, in Lincoln, IL, the son of David Lee and Betty Lou (Ayers) Erlenbush. He grew up in the Mt. Pulaski & Mt. Auburn areas helping his dad on the family farm. Dennis graduated from Mt. Auburn High school and attended Lincoln Land Community College. He was employed by ABF, Veolla and Sloan Implement. He enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, watching TV, Suduko, and the occasional visitors who stopped by. He was always willing to step in and help others out when needed, if he was able.

He was preceded in death by his father, David; step-mother, Georgie; grandparents; sister, Karen and step-sister Bobbie Jo Garrison.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Booker; mother; sisters, Mary Lou (Bobby) Ewing of Springfield, Brenda Lea (Russ) Pritchard, and Dale Lynn of Southern, IL.; six children, Jason (Rebekah Washburn), Aaron (Ashley Wareham), McKinnsey (Dylan Bolton), Trenton (Mary Peabody), Monica (Travis Alsbury) and Michelle (Mike Bross); grandchildren, Riley, Peyton, Emma, Weston, Abigail, Wade, Charlotte, Drake and Ava; step-sisters, Lori, Kathy, Pam and Mindy as well as numerous nieces nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Wilson Park Funeral Home, 109 E. Washington St. in Edinburg, is in charge of arrangements.
