Doris June (Barker) Rogers

Doris June Rogers, 85, of Illiopolis passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehab. Doris was born on February 21, 1937, in Springfield, the daughter of George Woodrow and Doris Lucille (Brown) Barker. She married Robert Rogers on March 21, 1953 and he survives.

Doris enjoyed crocheting, baking, cooking and was known for her big smile and infectious laugh.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George Woodrow Barker, Jr.

Doris is survived by her husband Robert and eight children, Mike (Belinda) Rogers, Don (Patty) Rogers, Sharon (Fred) Phillips, Karen Jackson, Brenda Heimlich, John (Christy) Rogers, Dave (Darla) Rogers, and George Rogers; twenty grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Kathy (Joe) Britz as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Illiopolis from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:30. Burial will follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Mt. Auburn.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
